Making Music at Trinity Episcopal

Pre-K through Fifth grade students at Trinity are taught by Jason Maranto.  They are learning to make music by being actively involved in singing melodic melodies that often include movement.  Fourth and Fifth Graders are preparing for future middle school band experiences by learning to read music and play an instrument called the recorder.  In addition, First through Fifth Graders are learning to play and create music on the school's Orff instruments which include xylophones, metallophones and glockenspiels. All of our students have fun reading quarter notes, eighth notes, and half notes while playing on a wide variety of rhythm instruments, including rhythm sticks, castanets, triangles, woodblocks and various other rhythm instruments.
